We have the wonderful privilege of hosting singer-songwriter Sandra McCracken for a concert at RPCB on Friday evening, October 24, at 7:00 PM.
Sandra has written songs for the church and was one of the original writers of music for RUF.
Ten years ago, Sandra McCracken recorded a batch of raw, prayerful songs drawn from the Psalms in a New York apartment. What began as melodies of personal lament and hope became a shared soundtrack for worshippers around the world. These Psalm songs have since been sung in churches, schools, living rooms, cathedrals, and concert halls—from Tennessee to Northern Ireland to Indonesia. Sandra will be joined by special guests, including Jon Guerra, on many of these dates.
This fall, Sandra is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her Psalms album with the Welcome Home Tour—a night of music, memory, and the goodness of God. Joined by her full band and special guests to play through the record along with some borrowed Psalm tunes, too.
If the Psalms have been a companion in your journey—in sorrow or celebration—this night is for you. Come join the song.
The concert will be held at RPCB, 2807 Church Road, Bowie, MD 20721.
Sandra McCracken is a GRAMMY-nominated, Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter, author, and creative leader based in Nashville. With a career spanning 25 years and 18 solo albums, she has become one of the most prominent voices in modern hymnody and gospel-roots music—known for blending Americana, folk, and sacred tradition into songs that are both deeply personal and spiritually resonant.
Her best-selling album Psalms (2015) helped redefine modern congregational singing, followed by God’s Highway (2017), which broke into the Billboard Top 50 without a major label. In 2023, Light in the Canyon won the GMA Dove Award for Roots/Bluegrass Album of the Year. Sandra’s songs—including “We Will Feast in the House of Zion” and “Steadfast”—are sung in churches around the world.
This fall, Sandra celebrates the 10th anniversary of Psalms with the Welcome Home Tour 2025, joined by friend and collaborator Jon Guerra.
